One of two South Australian brothers who killed another man during a street brawl will not be allowed to attend a family Christmas party, a court has ruled.

Lawyers for Dominic Von Stanke asked District Court judge Geraldine Davison to vary his bail so that he could attend the event, to be held on Sunday.
He and his brother, Jordon Von Stanke, have pleaded guilty to manslaughter over the death of Rex Court at Mount Gambier in 2017.
Mr Court, 32, died from severe head injuries he sustained during a street fight involving the brothers.
The men were initially charged with murder, but maintained they were acting in self-defence and brokered a plea deal with prosecutors earlier this year.
They are both on home detention bail and will face court for sentencing submissions next week.
The court heard on Wednesday the event will be held at the home of the pair's parents, where Jordon Von Stanke resides.
Judge Davison said it was "not appropriate" for the brothers to attend an event together because of the seriousness of the charges.
She said there was the possibility a "heated situation may arise" and refused the application.
