A NUMBER of Singleton organisations were in the money this week, to the tune of $63,116, courtesy of the NSW Government’s 2018 Community Building Partnership Program.

Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen delivered the good news on Monday.
The Singleton Neighbourhood Centre was the recipient of $23,109, while the Singleton Roosters Australian Football Club Inc collected $18,291.
Another local sporting group, the Singleton Netball Association Inc, received $11,616 and the Northern Agricultural Association Inc. Singleton secured $10,100.
“The NSW Government’s strong economic management ensures we are in a position to invest in these important local projects,” Mr Johnsen said.
“This is fantastic for Singleton.
“The grassroots funding will directly help to create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social, environmental and/or recreational outcomes for our local area.
“I congratulate all our local organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference for community groups in the area.”

The Community Building Partnership program has funded some 13,800 projects since it began nearly a decade ago.
