THE New England Highway is blocked in both directions following a two-truck crash north of Scone on Wednesday morning.

The highway is expected to be closed, 1km south of Parkville, for several hours to allow a recovery of the semi-trailers involved along with a complex clean up operation.
It is believed a 45-year-old man was trapped in one vehicle for a period of time.
The patient was treated at the scene then taken by ambulance to Scone Airport where Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service clinical team and paramedics stabilised him before being flown to John Hunter Hospital.
He has suspected spinal and pelvic injuries and a broken scapula.
Diversions are in place for light vehicles only.
Northbound: Diverting from Scone motorists should use Liverpool Street, Middlebrook Road, Cressfield Road to then rejoin the New England Highway.
Southbound: Motorists are being diverted via Cressfield Road, Middlebrook Road, Liverpool Street to then rejoin the New England Highway at Scone.
* Heavy vehicles are unable to use this diversions and are being parked.
Motorists travelling via this location should exercise caution, follow the direction of traffic controllers and allow additional travel time.
