General Manager, Scott Bailey, says that while the clubs’ members have put up with a fair amount of disruption that inevitably goes hand in hand with refurbishment, he’s confident that it is all worth the wait and excited about the new venue.

“The team at Network Construction did a great job of bringing the build in on budget and on time. There were over 70 trades and services that formed part of the works, said Mr Bailey.

“We would like to thank our members for sticking with us while we disrupted their club and trust that they will enjoy what we are now able to offer them.”

Open all day every day, breakfast starts at 6.00 am with a wide selection of  goodies to choose from including the more traditional bacon and eggs to granola cups and smashed avocado on toast.

Scott says that the incredible coffee also  on offer is absolutely exceptional and has to be tasted to be believed.

The changing menu now caters to the needs of the clubs visitors at any time during the day or evening along with customers heading to the new cinema.

“The introduction of our twin cinema has seen a big increase in people using the facility outside the more traditional lunch and dinner hours.

“We have introduced an all day café, breakfast and tapas to complement our already existing lunch and dinner offerings and give patrons food throughout the day, as and when they would like it.” Added Mr Bailey.

Mr Bailey said that the shift in attitudes toward drinking and eating out has sparked a demand for better service, more sophisticated choices and a wider selection of food and drinks to try.

“Drinking behaviour is changing markedly in Australian culture. The days of going to the pub to throw down a few schooners after work are coming to end.

“Customers expect a more sophisticated experience with better trained staff and a wider selection of options. We believe that Odeum offers just that. 

Along with the extended hours and significant changes to the menu, the whole restaurant interior has transformed.

After a whirlwind trip to Chine, as Scott describes it, visiting various factories and warehouses, a range of new furniture has been imported into the space.

The bar and café are all finished in marble and the fabrics are the creations of the legendary Australian designer Florence Broadhurst.  Peppered with unusual features such as a living plant wall, great attention has been given to creating a stylish and yet relaxed ambiance for the whole family to enjoy.
