Now, the facility will welcome Santa and Mrs Claus once again on Sunday, November 18, following much progress in restoring the museum’s operations.
“Our visitors will arrive by train at noon,” Richmond Vale Railway Museum chairman Peter Meddows said.
“Santa will then be available to hear from young visitors about their wishes for Christmas.
“Families are most welcome to photograph their children with Santa.
“We will be offering shuttle rides on our full-sized train, as well as miniature train rides throughout the day.”
Exhibitions within the museum will include historic artefacts, images and videos.
Some special Christmas-themed exhibits will be included for the day.
Tickets in the museum’s Christmas gift raffle will be available, with the draw to be conducted at 3pm on the day.
The museum’s canteen and souvenir shop will be open for snacks and gifts.
The Richmond Vale Railway Museum opens the gates at 9.30am and the day’s activities will cease at 4pm.
Entry fees are $16 adults, $11 concession, $7.50 children (5-15) and under-5 free.
