The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service ventured to the Murrurundi Hospital helipad to meet NSW Ambulance paramedics, who tendered to the 75-year-old.
He has suffered suspected multiple injuries following the incident.
He is expected to be stabilised on the scene before he’s conveyed to Newcastle for further treatment.
