Following a couple of rounds in the popular tournament, surprise packets Scone Thoroughbreds and the Merriwa Magpies have yet to suffer a loss this season.
But, that could change for one of those sides when they tackle each other from 6.35pm.
The Thoroughbreds continued their outstanding form at Aberdeen with a strong 32-10 win over the hosts, the Tigers.
Katherine Nicholson bagged a double and was well-supported by Lyndsay Atkinson, Georgia Watts, Samantha Elphick and Gracie Gallen in the tryscoring stakes.
For good measure, Gallen also booted four conversions.
The Magpies, meanwhile, put paid to a gallant Greta Branxton Colts 20-8.
In the remaining showdown, the Murrurundi Mavettes upstaged defending titleholders Muswellbrook Ramettes 12-8 after the teams were locked at 4-all at the break.
The Mavettes, also unbeaten in 2018 so far, now faces the Tigers while the Colts meet the Ramettes in a must-win encounter for Muswellbrook.
Round 3 draw (Friday, November 16):
