“The NSW Seniors Festival brings people together, encourages seniors to try something new and fosters a great community spirit,” Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen said.
“The NSW Government is supporting seniors in the electorate to live life to the fullest through a number of initiatives including the Seniors Festival.
“I encourage seniors to join the fun and get involved in various taking place during the event.
“I congratulate the Singleton Council in receiving $6797 for TRY-IT in Singleton 4 Seniors Week and the YMCA pocketing $1000 for its program Celebrating Singleton Seniors.”
The 2019 NSW Seniors Festival theme is ‘Love Your Life’, which encourages seniors to participate in the community and live active, healthy and social lives.
“The festival will give seniors the opportunity to participate in exciting activities with friends and family, meet others, and share their insights and experiences,” Mr Johnsen concluded.
NSW Seniors Festival 2019 is from Wednesday, February 13, to Sunday, February 24.
