Christmas in the Park will return to White Park in Scone on Saturday, December 1.
Manager Lee Watts says staff at the neighbourhood centre were very excited as they prepare for the fifth annual event.
“All the favourites will be back, with market stalls to browse or try your luck at winning a ham on the Upper Hunter Men’s Shed newly purpose-built chocolate wheel,” she said.
“We have musical entertainment by the Oh’s and also the very talented Chloe Hall volunteering on the stage.
“Bring a chair or blanket and relax while enjoying the evening singing, a collection of songs and carols for everyone.
“There will be a selection of food on site and Santa, of course, will make a visit to see all the littlies.
“Children will have unlimited access to rides and face painting by purchasing a wristband at the ticket booth for five dollars.
“All music and the fireworks are free thanks to the generosity of our sponsors Scone McDonald’s, Joblink Plus, Daracon, JBS, Regional Australia Bank, Upper Hunter Shire Council, Woolworths, MacCallum Inglis, Ray White Dawson Realty, Hunter Valley Bricks & Pavers, Upper Hunter Men’s Shed and Multicultural NSW.
“A huge thank you must go to the tireless efforts of the SNRC staff, volunteers, council outdoor staff and essential services, that prepare the grounds, set up for the event and pull down at completion as well as the onsite organising and running of the Christmas in the Park event.”
Mrs Watts encouraged everyone to support the community event with gates opening at 5pm and fireworks concluding at approximately 9pm.
“Please ensure your pets are safe and secure before coming to join us for a fun-filled community Christmas,” Mrs Watts said.
