More than 1500 people, young and young-at-heart, converged on Simpson Park for another edition of the annual event, formerly known as the Bottoms Up Festival.
Australian indie folk trio Little Quirks joined Pat Capocci, surf rock duo Hockey Dad, WAAX, Gooch Palms, Bootleg Rascal and Downsyde on the 2018 program – with promises of a good time for all.
“We’d pre-sold 1000 tickets, which was a good sign,” Muswellbrook Shire Council’s tourism and events officer Ruaan Van Der Wath said.
Food trucks, as well as full bar service, added to the concert atmosphere, too.
Unfortunately for the organisers, a huge storm threatened to derail the festivities in the evening, with severe winds, lightning and rain forecasted by the Bureau of Meteorology.
