The health vehicle provides free check-ups and is an outlet for men who are often too proud to visit a doctor.
It recently had a stint in Singleton where approximately 40 people were treated, several of which were referred for follow-up checks for conditions that wouldn’t have been discovered without the service’s help.
Blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol tests are conducted by a registered nurse, and appropriate action is then taken, with 69 people across the state having been sent immediately to hospital, and one saved from what could’ve been an imminent medical episode.
The Rotary Club project will be in Denman on Sunday and Monday, October 21 and 22.
And, the nurses are hoping to also see a good turnout there.
