The Upper Hunter Festival Forum is a networking event for stakeholders to share the ups and downs of organising local festivals.
Guest speaker is Professor John Connell from the University of Sydney, co-author of Outback Elvis, the story of a festival, its fans and a town called Parkes.
The Parkes Elvis Festival is now listed in Frommer's 300 Unmissable Events & Festivals Around the World.
Professor Connell and a panel of local festival stakeholders - Jan Fallding, Deidre Peebles, Nancy Knudsen and Ruaan Van Der Wath - will get discussion rolling on Upper Hunter successes, challenges and opportunities for a regional approach.
The forum will take place at Singleton Diggers Club, York Street, Singleton, on Tuesday, September 18, from 10 am to 1pm.
It’s free and open to anyone but you must register with Arts Upper Hunter on 0409 382 509 or rado@artsupperhunter.com.au
