THE streets of Denman resembled a race course today as hundreds of horses strutted through the town as part of a charity ride.

The event drew incredible numbers and generated plenty of funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
The parade wound its way through the streets, finishing at the Pony Club Grounds for a barbecue and post ripping competition.
One of the riders, Colin Pickersgill, said the day had been a success, praising the turnout they’d received.
“Numbers are up, we’ve got a lot of things for the auction this afternoon so hopefully we’ll raise some even more money,” he said.
As with most good happenings in Denman, Two Rivers Winery was involved, as participants stopped at the top of hill overlooking the vineyard for much-needed refreshments.
Headed up by the Sydney Mounted Police, people got involved in different ways with some children riding Shetland ponies and others travelling by horse-drawn carts.
