Hunter Valley Group 21 Junior League teams from Singleton, Muswellbrook, Aberdeen, Denman, Scone and the host organisation donned the colourful attire for The Ricky Stuart Foundation, which was set-up in 2011 to help people with autism – and their families.
The special fundraiser, doubling as the young Magpies’ last fixtures at home in 2018, follows the recent Where there’s a Will round that’s gathered plenty of momentum over the past couple of seasons.
“We’ve received some terrific support today from all the teams,” Merriwa Junior Rugby League Club secretary Fiona Morgan said.
“Our thanks go to everyone, from the players to the parents, as well as the officials.
“Hopefully, our auction later this evening, featuring an autographed Canberra Raiders jumper, is successful, too.”
