He was nominated by the Singleton Strikers Football Club for his commitment to a number of teams over the duration of his service to the club.
“A good coach is one of the most important elements in the football experience had by our players,” NNSWF community football manager Peter Haynes said.
“It is important that coaches like Jason continue to provide players at Singleton with safe and enjoyable sessions in order to develop a love for the game and continue to have the best football experience possible.”
Newcastle Permanent Singleton branch manager Jennifer Edwards congratulated Billot on becoming the recipient of the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month Award.
“Coaching plays a vital role in developing the skills and attitude of young players,” she explained.
“Through our Community Football Awards, I am delighted we are able to recognise the efforts of local coaches who are dedicated to developing their players.
Billot received a coaching pack inclusive of balls, markers, bibs, whistle, polo shirt and cap courtesy of Newcastle Permanent to assist him in continuing to fulfil his valuable coaching role at the club.
