Jason van Genderen, director of the Pocket Film Academy, is the world’s first “filmbreaker” and he is coming to Muswellbrook to share the secrets of this emerging genre at a free workshop.
The one-off seminar on Saturday, June 2, will include a blend of insider tips, hands-on activities and jaw-dropping demonstrations and is ideal for budding film-makers, vloggers, You-Tubers and video producers.
On the day, you will learn:

With a first prize of the Gold Bluey Award and $10,000 cash in the open category and other fantastic prizes to be won in this year’s Blue Heeler Film Festival, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for budding “filmbreakers”.
“This is an amazing opportunity to share Jason’s secrets on turning your iPhone into a complete broadcast production studio,” council’s tourism and events officer Ruaan van der Wath said.
“Jason has won accolades at Tropfest New York and Sundance London and is coming to Muswellbrook to share his experience with us.”
The workshop will take place at the Muswellbrook Regional Library on Saturday, June 2, from 10am to 3pm.
The council-hosted event is free but reservations are essential as numbers are limited.
