TW Pike managed, again, to walk away with the Golden Fleece prize at the Murrurundi Sheep Show at Murrurundi on Saturday.

Mr Pike won first and third prize in the Best Merino Sheep exhibition, taking home the JWC Benham Memorial Trophy, and also collected both in the Best Pen 3 Ewes, which was sponsored by Jemalong Wool Pty Ltd of Tamworth.
C&P Begg snared second in each event.
G. Ingall picked up the Best Pen 3 Wethers, which was sponsored by Muswellbrook Steel Supplies.
Pike snared second prize and Begg, third.
The JF & MJ Musgrave Memorial Cup for the Best Open of Three 2 Tooth Fine Wool Ewes went to TW Pike with PS Musgrave second and S&L Wicks third.
The Australian Wool Network Cup first and second prize for the Best Pen of Three 2 Tooth Fine Wool Wethers was taken out again by Pike.
G. Ingall secured third.
The Best Pen of 3x2 Tooth Medium Wool Ewes was won by C&P Begg, who also won the Best Pen of 3x2 Tooth Medium Wool Wethers, both sponsored by Landmark Townsend, Scone.
The day was played out on a beautiful autumn day at the Murrurundi Rosedale Horse Complex with a record number of entries.
In the Anglican Parish Murrurundi Wool Show, in conjunction with the sheep show, SJ & LS Wicks took the historic Mabyn Vale trophy with a Grand Champion Fleece.
In fact, the proceeds from the sale of wool after the show goes to the Murrurundi Anglican Church.
The Champion Open Fleece (The Davis & Sons Trophy) was won also by SJ and LS Wicks while the Parish Trophy for Champion Novice Fleet was collected by C&P Begg.
Murrurundi Pharmacy Trophy for the Champion Ram Fleece was another Wicks triumph as was the JW Edmonds Trophy for the Highest Points awarded in the Superfine and Fine Wool section.
The RJ & LJ Parkins Trophy for the highest points in the Medium and Strong Wool section went to C&P Begg while the GR Benham Memorial Trophy for the exhibitor with highest points and who has not won a prize at this year’s show was presented to GE & MA Ingall.
The GM Norvill Memorial Trophy - the winner of the Commercial Value – was SJ & LS Wicks while the Murrurundi Newsagency Trophy for the highest number of points but bred by exhibitor also went to the Wicks clan.
