FOLLOWING the release of its stellar musical line-up, the organisers of this year’s instalment of the Gum Ball festival are pleased to reveal the full timetable and entertainment roster for this month’s event.
Returning from Friday, April 27, to Sunday, April 29, the 13th annual extravaganza – at Dashville, a private property in Belford – is loaded with incredible Australian and international bands.
Friday night’s program will build to an epic crescendo, with UK superstars The Cribs, beloved soul-funk outfit The Bamboos and hip-hop rockers Butterfingers sure to make this evening at Dashville one to remember.
Saturday’s line-up is as mammoth, with music running from 8am until midnight.
The day’s musical roster includes troubadour Ben Salter, blues outfit Hat Fitz & Cara, indie rock legends Screamfeeder, rock crooner Dave Graney & The Coral Snakes, psych-rockers Rocket Science, Ed Kuepper and his all-star band The Aints (playing the early Saints classics) and rising hip hop artist REMI to bring Gum Ball 2018 to a close.
The announcement of the full timetable also sees the addition of some more musical talent.
Americana songstress Ruby Gilbert, SoCal-inspired folk rocker Magpie Diaries and French-Canadian punk rockers The Squirts.
The broader entertainment and children’s program was also recently announced.
At this year’s Gum Ball, young music lovers will get to partake in free belly dancing, reptile show and puppet-making workshops, as well as hone their skills at the Circus Workstent alongside real-life circus performers.
They’ll also meet Maitland’s favourite llama, Hamish, and be amazed at the spectacle of some of the country’s best street performers, including Mr Gorski, Duke Dreamer and Sara Twister.
