It tells the true story of beloved children’s author A. A. Milne and his son, Christopher Robin.
After returning from the First World War, writer Milne (Domnhall Gleeson) leaves London for the English countryside.
His son’s collection of stuffed animals inspire the magical world of Winnie the Pooh.
Goodbye Christopher Robin also stars Margot Robbie as the author’s wife.
Milne and his family soon become swept up in the instant success of the books, while the enchanting tales bring hope and comfort to the rest of post-war England.
Goodbye Christopher Robin will screen at 7.30pm on Friday at Scone Films’ pop-up cinema at the Senior Citizens’ Centre, Oxford Road.
Doors open from 7pm.
The running time for the movie is one hour and 47 minutes.
Tickets are $12.
There is limited seating, so to be sure of a ticket, purchase in advance from the website or at Hunt a Book, Scone.
