It is going to be a huge weekend for the Ward siblings as they have all qualified to compete at the Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft and Rodeo Association (ABCRA) Finals in Tamworth. And, the trio – Franki, Bobbi, and Levi – are all in with a chance when it comes to claiming a buckle. Levi enters the competition ranked number one in the eight to 11-year-old steer ride and second in the under-11 barrel race. The nine-year-old, known as the Kundabung Cowboy, already has quite the reputation.  Leading into his third national final, the multi-talented lad is the top ranked all-round junior cowboy. His older sister, 12-year-old Bobbi, enters the nationals ranked number three in the 11 to 14-year-old barrel race and this is her second appearance at this level. While 7-year-old Franki, the baby of the family, is competing in her first national final in the U11 barrel race. Their father, Dean, says it’s been a hectic time in the Ward household. “We did not even get a break over Christmas as we travelled down south to Jindabyne, Moruya and Nowra to compete,” he says.
