Once the shine of new Christmas presents has worn off and novelty of not heading to school everyday has gone, kids inevitably look for other ways to spend their time, often craving the company of friends.
For working or busy parents knowing your child is safe, happy and having fun is key.
PCYC has holiday fun ready to roll this summer and provides a great way for kids to stay occupied in a safe and fun environment.
Muswellbrook PCYC has an amazing Kidzcare (holiday program) ready for the school holidays.
KidzCare is a government-subsidised after-school and vacation care program for children from kindergarten to year 6, inclusive.
Operating hours for the program are from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. The cost of the holiday care program is $35.00 per child per day (Government Subsidies Apply).
Children are provided with the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills and attend excursions within their local community.
The activities on offer include craft, cooking, board games, group games, running and ball games, music, drama and dance.
De-anne Douglas Manager of the Muswellbrook PCYC said it is one of her favourite activities.
“I really enjoy having the children attend each holiday and know that they enjoy the program as much as I do, there’s lots to choose from, it doesn’t matter if your child prefers sitting with craft or running outside, we have something for everyone.” She commented.
Children can get involved in a number of organised games and activities, whether it be physical games or creative activities.
Time is also provided for children to choose their own activities or catch up with old and new friends and invent their own games or play.
Children are constantly supervised by the friendly PCYC staff, all of whom have had Working with Children Checks completed.
