So did Canadian sensation Michael Buble.
Now, country soloist Lyn Bowtell will spread the same festive cheer at the Community Christmas Spectacular at the Branxton Golf Club on Friday, December 8, from 5.30pm.
The event also features mini jeeps, snow cones, rides, clown balloon sculpting, face painting, a skydiving Santa and fireworks at 9.15pm.
Bowtell, who’ll be supported by Finnian Johnson, first came to prominence as a songwriter and singer for multi award-winning country pop trio Bella.
Since then she has released two critically-acclaimed albums, Secret Songs (WJO) in 2012 and Heart of Sorrow (Maven/Sony) in 2014.
An innovative and creative songwriter, Bowtell defies musical constraint and easy classification, with influences reaching from pure country to blues, jazz and pop.
Her new release, Calling You, marks a distinct departure in musical style from her roots in alternative/pop country.
It brims with the singer’s soulful, striking vocals and connecting deeply with raw emotion, highlighting the sublime and powerful voice that turned heads and four red chairs on national television in Channel Nine’s The Voice Australia earlier this year.
“I’m no longer willing to be confined in a ‘genre box’,” she said.
“I want to show a wider audience my full range as a singer and songwriter.
“I feel so connected to Calling You, the songs are bright, bold and exciting and I can’t wait to share them.”
Pre-purchased tickets for the Community Christmas Spectacular are $40 (family – two adults, three children), $30 (couple – two people) and $15 (single); however, on the night, they’ll be $55 (family), $40 (couple) and $20 (single).
