Hosted by Hunter MP Joel Fitzgibbon, guest speakers included Sergeant Libby Simos (crime prevention officer with Hunter Valley Local Area Command), Kim Manwarring (Muswellbrook Shire Council), Bronwyn Ambrogetti (Hunter Legal Services) and service officer Kathleen Lane (Human Services).
All offered valuable and practical advice and information as well as their expertise during a question and answer session.
“My thanks to the many who attended my Seniors Forum in Muswellbrook,” Mr Fitzgibbon said.
“The events are a great way to keep retired residents well-informed on a range of issues including Centrelink entitlements, aged care options, wills and personal security.
“My gratitude to Muswellbrook Seniors Citizens, for allowing me to use their excellent venue.”
The Muswellbrook forum was one of a number conducted in the Hunter electorate this year.
