CASP provides grants to arts and cultural groups, not-for-profit organisations and local councils in regional NSW for short term, locally initiated projects.
The grants of up to $3000 must primarily be used to employ professional artists or cultural workers.
Arts Upper Hunter regional arts development officer Mark Reedman said projects could be in any art form including oral history.
“Projects funded in the Upper Hunter for 2017 included screen writing workshops, visual arts workshops, school students and people with disability participating in a week-long African drumming workshop culminating in a concert, dance workshops for people with a disability, local Aboriginal artist to work with a Vacation Care group and create a mural,” he said.
“Arts Upper Hunter can assist with developing project ideas, sourcing artists and helping with application forms.
“Not all applicants will need this help but all applicants must discuss their application with Arts Upper Hunter before lodgement.”
Applications close at 3pm on Thursday, July 27.
