The annual performing arts extravaganza will bring the talents of Hunter and Central Coast school students together into one spectacular event.
While every year at Star Struck is exciting, 2017 will include the 25th birthday celebrations.
The performance will take the audience on a journey exploring all things that shine – reflecting on the past and sending a message about the aim to shine on into the future.
It is estimated that 75,000 public school students have participated in the event over the past two-and-a-half decades.
Shine On is a tribute to all the memories Star Struck has provided children during its existence.
The program is a unique large-scale performing arts event showcasing the talent in NSW public schools.
It is a showcase of dance, drama and music, performed by students from Kindergarten to Year 12 from a network of NSW public schools.
This year’s Star Struck will be at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, June 16 and 17.
Public Schools New South Wales will present Star Struck 2017 – Shine On in partnership with major sponsor Glencore, between 10.30am and 7pm on both days.
The show features over 3500 students including a 500 voice choir, 60 piece orchestra as well as dancers, singers and drama students from Hunter and Central Coast schools.
Audiences can expect a tribute to the last 25 years as well as a variety of shining examples of the talent, passion and enthusiasm of Star Struck performers and the Star Struck community.
Tickets are available through Ticketek.
