Celebrating 27 years on the June long weekend 2017, and with the theme of 'True Blue', this year's Rosto Festival of the Fleeces will be one to remember.
Street stalls bring a festive atmosphere, and at this years festival there will be over 100 variety market stalls to sample. Taste, smell and purchase a great range of sensational products, many of which are locally grown.
The festival promises something for everyone, thrilling Team Penning action, exciting Sheep Yard Dog Trials, hilarious Bush Poet's breakfast, sheep shearing demonstrations, wood carving, dog high jumping, vintage vehicle displays, over 100 market stalls, a great way to spend quality time with your family and friends over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
The highlight, and not seen anywhere else in the world, is the Rosto Olives Running of the Sheep - with over 200 sheep wearing red woollen socks!
Support the festival by buying tickets in the major raffle with first prize courtesy of Village Roadshows, a four-night stay for a family of four at eco farm stay resort, Paradise Country on the Gold Coat including a great night out at the famous Outback Spectacular show.
Other prizes include a three-night stay at the Mantra Aqua Resort at Nelson Bay, a packaged whole lamb donated by the Campbell family, and a $100 voucher from Merrifield Farm.
The raffle will be drawn at the Opening Night event at Merriwa RSL.
