AN elderly man has been transported to hospital after suffering injuries sustained in a fall, in the Upper Hunter, on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident took place on a property at Gungal, located between Sandy Hollow and Merriwa.
After receiving a call, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter conveyed the man to John Hunter Hospital.
The patient is in a stable condition.
