And, despite the harsh conditions, she and her friends survived the journey with massive grins on their faces.
Ms Redgrove’s team tested their mental and physical toughness, conquering something she never thought possible.
Tough Mudder is an 18km mud and obstacle event designed to drag you out of your comfort zone while neck-deep in mire.
More than 12,0000 ‘Mudders’ took on the challenge, including new obstacles never before seen in Sydney: The Liberator and The Block Ness Monster.
“That number was an increase on last year,” Tough Mudder Australia’s Paul Mudge said.
“You don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to do a Tough Mudder event.
“All you need are your mates and be prepared to have fun and get a bit dirty.
“Tough Mudder is not a race, but a challenge that emphasises teamwork and camaraderie above all else.
“The events saw ‘Mudders’ from all walks of life band together and accomplish something unique.”
