Newcastle Permanent has just released its 2016-17 Cinema Under the Stars program and it is set to be the best season yet.
It will visit 16 regional locations between November and February – including Singleton, bringing a night of free entertainment to thousands of families across northern and central NSW.
The Good Dinosaur will screen at Allan Bull Reserve on Friday, January 20.
Cinema Under the Stars appeals to all ages with great “live” music and fun activities for kids including circus workshops and small-sided football from 5.30pm.
Once the sun goes down, the big screen will light up and families can sit back and relax with free popcorn while they enjoy the feature family-friendly movie.
“We understand how much regional communities across NSW look forward to our Cinema Under the Stars events, and as a customer-owned organisation it is just one of the many ways we’re giving back to communities that support us,” Newcastle Permanent CEO Terry Millett said.
“This year we’re excited to bring Cinema Under the Stars to two new locations, Dubbo and Taree, for the first time and can’t wait to get back to the other communities in regional NSW, which already know and love these events.
“Last year, Cinema Under the Stars attracted about 40,000 keen moviegoers and we are hoping to reach 50,000 in 2016-17.
“We encourage everyone to come along to their local free Cinema Under the Stars event this season.
“The fun will kick off at 5.30pm and families can to settle in and relax with a picnic and experience the magical atmosphere of watching a popular movie in the great outdoors.”
