And, it was very successful with 16 teams travelling far and wide.
The two-day tournament boasted ladies from Lithgow, South Tamworth, West Tamworth, Wallsend, Kotara, Singleton, Charlestown, Kurri, Muswellbrook, Scone RSL and Scone.
The weather was very friendly, with cloud and a breeze, as well as rain on the second day.
However, the flies never let up.
It was nice to see so much colour and laughter on the Aberdeen green.
The meals were a credit to the ladies who catered the event.
A huge thanks go to the many sponsors, who without their generosity, the club could not hold a successful carnival.
It was overwhelming to see so much donated in the form of money or goods.
To the ladies of the club, you outdid yourselves.
The winners of the carnival were Club Singleton’s Gwen Lambkin, Di Rowe and Sharon Taylor with five wins + 33 ends.
Second was Kurri’s G. Sheehan, T. Ware and A. Wilkins with 5 wins + 30 ends, while third went to South Tamworth’s C. Myers, D. Quick and A. Herden with 4 wins + 25 ends.
Another South Tamworth trio P. Fletcher, R. Sweeney and C. King picked up fourth with 3 wins + 23 ends.
Best performed on Saturday was D. Hopwood, K. Collins and J. Hamson from Muswellbrook, while Sunday’s honours went to S. Austin, S. Sumner and N. Ware from Kurri.
