Now, connoisseurs in the culinary field are taking notice too.
Celebrity chef Danny Russo and executive chef/hospitality consultant Johnny O, both awarded Chef’s Hats, recently popped into the Vines Restaurant to sample some sumptuous food prepared by Angela Nahas and Andrew Le Blanc.
And, both gave the experience a resounding thumbs up.
“We’re thrilled to have Angela and Andrew on the team,” Hollydene Estate Wines’ Trudy Merta said.
“Angela has chosen to guide the Vines’ crew in further development.
“She’ll bring new and exciting food and wine experiences to Hollydene Estate.
“She is a highly-trained professional, boasting a career spanning more than 22 years – nine of which were spent in Europe and Asia.
“Angela, who believes in fresh, simple flavours, has also written two Japanese cookbooks and co-authored 28 internationally-distributed cookbooks, and was food editor of SBS’s magazine Feast.”
Ms Merta said Ms Nahas brought a wealth of experience to the table.
“Drawing on her classical training, she has created a menu for Hollydene that compliments the estate’s warm, relaxed atmosphere,” she said.
“And, along with Angela comes Andrew [Le Blanc].
“He trained in Canada and boasts 15 years of valuable knowledge, gained through his extensive travels – the past decade in Australia.
“High volume cooking, weddings, corporate and private functions, running kitchens, restaurants and cafes all over the world, Andrew’s sense of adventure is reflected in his exciting food.
“We are very pleased his travels have brought him here to Vines Restaurant.
“Guests will continue to be spoilt for choice, whether it be a delicious sit-down dinner, a corporate function, wedding or a spontaneous drink and a plate of nibbles.
“Hollydene has created an environment to suit all your casual and special events.”
