An auditorium full of junior cricketers and their families joined together at Denman RSL to see McCormick capture the major award.
McCormick achieved representative duties at a high level throughout his junior career and volunteered much of his personal time with Milo in2Cricket.
Apart from his recognition, the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) in the under-12s were Jed Collins and Hunter Ball.
Teammates Talan Higgins (best batting), Thomas McKenzie (best bowling) and Xavier Leaver (most improved) were also acknowledged for standout seasons. In the under-14s, Shaun Wilkins was judged to be the MVP. The semi-finalists had no shortage of star performers, with Daniel Wojcikewycz (best batting), Cody Cummings (best bowling) and Blake Poole (most improved) taking out awards.
Finally the under-16s, led by MVP McCormick, were supported by the batting of Aiden Worth, bowling skills of Jed Collins and rise of Adam Whitten.
The club paid tribute to the invaluable help from sponsors within the community, volunteers on game days, parental support and a dedicated committee.
This season, Denman players wore their club shirts, and the maroon cricket pads given to the cricketers as gifts at the end of the last campaign.
