This year the Singleton mother is participating in the 1000ks4Kids bike ride and asking the community to get behind her to have fun and support a great cause.
Mrs Dunn is part of the green team, which now wears a memorial patch for her son Harry, who tragically died in 2012.
The feature film for the event is Australian movie Paper Planes.
The fundraiser, in honour of Harry, will take place this evening from 7pm.
Tickets cost $12.50 and can be bought from the cinema.
Mrs Dunn said Harry loved to make paper planes, which is why she believes this fundraiser is so perfect.
She thought it would be great to invite people along to see a movie her son would have adored.
“I’m getting all his friends on board,” she told the Hunter Valley News.
Just before the movie, children will have a chance to make paper plans in the foyer.
Majestic Cinemas Singleton manager Michelle Weir said it was a great way to have fun for a good cause.
“I love being an independent cinema,” she said.
“Within 24 hours we had [the fundraiser] off the ground.
“It’s a super easy way to raise money, watch a movie.
“Tickets are cheaper than they normally are.”
Mrs Dunn needs to raise a minimum of $4000 to participate in the event.
