From chess club to photography club there is an extra-curricular activity for all children to participate in.
However, a recent garden rejuvenation has set the perfect landscape for the fun and educational garden club.
Teacher and gardening club organiser Wendy Kempster said the children love being outside and learning about gardening.
The garden at the front of the school was recently transformed by Singleton Bunnings employees.
Earlier in the year Mrs Kempster approached Singleton Bunnings activities officer Vicki Griffin to see if the team at the hardware store could visit the school and help them with the gardening project.
The garden is special to the school because it displays the mosaic cow they entered in a competition a few years ago which every student contributed to.
It also is the home of the time capsule which was buried at the school’s 25th anniversary celebrations and will be opened at the school’s 50th anniversary .
The area, affectionately known as the ‘cow garden’, will now be maintained by the garden club which meets Thursday and Friday lunchtimes.
“We’re very, very grateful to Bunnings for [their work],” Mrs Kempster said.
“I am also grateful the principal, Simon Mulready, allows it to happen.”
The garden club mostly includes students in Year 1 to 4, but all children in the school are invited to participate.
