All funds raised on Sunday will go towards cystic fibrosis research, according to local Rotary president Mike Kelly.
“The golf day is held every year to assist charities,” he said.
“You don’t have to be a good player; non-handicap golfers are more than welcome.
“It’s just a low cost fun day.”
The four-person ambrose, from a shotgun start (9am for a 10am tee off), will take place at the Muswellbrook Golf Club.
“Two tee shots are required from all players in the team – and recorded on the score card,” Mr Kelly said.
“A raffle and the presentation of prizes are straight after the golf, in the clubhouse.
“We’ll also have nearest the pin and longest drive competitions.
“An entry fee of $30 per person includes two food and two drink tickets.”
Mr Kelly said Rotary was grateful to have LJ Hooker Muswellbrook as the major sponsor.
“We’ve also got another 20 local businesses on board,” he told the Hunter Valley News.
“Rotary appreciates the support of everyone.
“Many businesses are feeling the pinch in the current economic climate but maintain their commitment to help those in need.”
