Ms Hepworth has been working in early childhood for more than two decades.
She has also been at her current Hunterview workplace, Colleen Gale Children’s Services since its early days.
“We are honoured to work with such a dedicated educator who is a mentor and leader within the centre,” Colleen Gale Children’s Services Director Rebecca Gilmore said.
“Carol’s empathy and care about people radiates through her actions and initiatives.
“Her cultivation of ideas and contribution is always people-focussed and her attention to partnerships with families is evident in their responses to her.
“Carol represents what we believe is Australia’s best early educator.”
Ms Hepworth was one of more than 1200 nominees across Australia over four categories.
The senior team leader leads education and care at Colleen Gale.
