Clean TeQ CEO Sam Riggall was pleased to visit the region this week in the lead up to the Independent Planning Commission (IPC) public meeting to be held next Tuesday, October 16, at the Parkes Leagues Club. This comes off the back of recent trips to Japan and China where he met with investors and customers in the electric vehicle supply chain. Sam is a firm believer in innovation and community sustainability. “I strongly believe that projects like Clean TeQ Sunrise are an important bridge to demonstrate how the mining industry can meet the renewable energy challenges of the future, by bringing higher quality and lower cost raw materials into the supply chain,” he said. “With Clean TeQ’s VPA contribution of around $6.3 million to the Parkes Shire, Clean TeQ will be bringing significant investment to Central West NSW through jobs, upgrades to local infrastructure and business support.   “The flow-on effects of increased investment in education, skills and training builds community capital that endures beyond the operation of any single mine.  “Projects like Clean TeQ Sunrise will, if done well, help build stronger and more prosperous communities.” Located near Fifield in the Lachlan Shire, Clean TeQ Sunrise will make use of one of the largest cobalt deposits in the world and its future operations will position Australia as a major source of electric vehicle battery raw materials.
