Are you a Health Information Manager with exceptional leadership, people management and decision making skills looking for a senior position within a high profile National Healthcare provider? An exciting opportunity exists for a Health Information Services (HIS) Operations Manager to join our professional team.

To be successful in this position, you will need considerable experience in HIS operations having for example previously managed clinical coding teams and HIS departments.

About you:

As HIS Operations Manager - VIC/TAS/SA your responsibilities will include:

• Provision of leadership and direction for Healthscope Health Information Services in VIC/TAS/SA and support development and implementation of national initiatives as required
• As part of the national team, collaborate with individual sites within the region to ensure efficient and effective HIS operational processes are supported and process improvement and other optimisation initiatives are implemented, monitored and evaluated
• Working with senior site management, identify key drivers and enablers to ensure HIS goals, department KPIs and quality improvement activities are monitored, achieved and reported accordingly
• Building, coaching and mentoring high performing HIS staff and teams across the group and as part of the HIS Academy
• Conducting regular site visits to support the hospitals within region or nationally as required

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor/Master's Degree in Health Information Management (or equivalent)
• Extensive knowledge of HIS operations including clinical coding, auditing, health fund revenue and casemix management
• Ability to mentor, educate and develop multi-disciplinary staff across all sites within VIC/TAS
• Understanding of private health funding models and claims review
• Strong organisational skills in planning, prioritising and managing workloads
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships

Desirable Criteria:

• Post Graduate Management qualifications
• Clinical Coding qualification
