Finance Analyst

Your new company
You will be working for a well-known financial services organisation, based in the heart of Sydney CBD. The organisation offers a wide range of financial products and services across retail banking, home loans, wealth management and more. They strive to provide customers with exceptional service and trust their highly skilled finance team to deliver excellent results.

Your new role
You will be working in the busy sales management area of the organisation, working alongside a highly experienced team and reporting to the Senior Manager. This team give their staff full autonomy to work from home. You will be engaged for a 6 month contract to cover staff leave and will be responsible for analysing statistical data regarding revenue and sales across the retail banking area. Your responsibilities will be:

• Maintenance of Management Information Systems
• Reporting to stakeholders and assisting internal users
• Interpreting statistical data and provide commentary on patterns
• Calculating sales incentives and rewards
• Identifying enhancements and investigating payment system issues
• Participating in projects
• Utilising SQL, VBA and Excel

What you'll need to succeed
You will be highly experienced in data management and statistical analysis, with strong skills in SQL, VBA and Excel. You will bring an excellent problem-solving mindset and strong numerical skills as well as being responsible for managing your own time. A background in database management and documentation is imperative. You will ideally have worked in big, complex environments with large data sets. Experience in the financial services industry would be highly regarded. Tertiary qualifications are desirable though not essential for this role; experience is most important here.

What you'll get in return
You will be engaged for 6 months with immediate start. The role is paying $400/day and you will be working remotely with occasional requirement to go to the office in the CBD on an adhoc basis.
