Full job description

Role: Customer Service Officer
Based in Newcastle
Work from home available
$30 plus hourly
Contracted 6 month role with probable extension

Your new company
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multinational insurance company on a temporary full-time basis. Located in the heart of Newcastle, this highly collaborative, multinational insurance company is seeking to engage multiple staff on an initial 6 month contract. There is strong potential for this role to be extended or to transition permanent.

Your new role
With your confident and personable manner, you will be responsible for assessing claims and taking inbound calls from our customers with queries about active claims. You will be responsible for assessment, liaising with customers, speaking to internal and external parties to coordinate claim resolution and maintaining concise records throughout the resolution process. This diverse and interesting role will see you utilise your customer service and relationship building skills to ensure customer satisfaction is a priority.

  • Customer Claims Consultants are the point of contact for customers enquiring about claims against insurance policies.
  • You will be the primary point of contact for customers who are in the process of a claim.
  • Respond to high volumes of customer queries with our policy holders.
  • Accountable for policy claims assessment and investigation.
  • Liaise with customers, internal and external parties to coordinate claim resolution.
  • Maintain concise records throughout resolution process
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience within a similar customer service based/call centre role is a desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to show empathy towards customers.
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced high-volume customer contact environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a large workload within a fast-paced environment.
  • You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and an advanced proficiency with time management.
