A MAN has been arrested and charged with alleged driving and drug supply offences in Muswellbrook at the weekend.

About 2pm on Sunday, October 15, police from Hunter Valley Local Area Command stopped the driver of a Mitsubishi Triton utility on Market Street, Muswellbrook, for the purpose of a random breath test.
The driver returned a negative result, but subsequent inquiries revealed the man was allegedly a three-time disqualified driver.
The 29-year-old man was arrested and during a search, officers located drug-related items and several clear resealable plastic bags allegedly containing an amount of methylamphetamine.
The items were secured for forensic analysis and the man taken to Muswellbrook police station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and disqualified driving.
The man was refused bail and appeared before Muswellbrook Local Court on Sunday and remanded to appear at the same court on Monday.
