SINGLETON Quilters will host its biennial quilt show later this week.

And, to showcase the event on September 15-17, vice-president Heather Anderson has gone over and above in making a quilt for her car.

“This is 30 years of orphan blocks and UFOs (Un-Finished Objects) – what better use than to create a cover for my car,” she said.

“Some members think I am a little crazy, while most are inspired by the quilt.

“There were times when it felt unachievable, but with the help of a few of my quilting friends dragging the quilt on and off the car to assisting in the fitting, I got there in the end and love the result.”

To see Ms Anderson’s amazing car quilt, head down to 74 George Street (New England Highway) during the show and meet the amazing maker.

Proceeds from the Singleton Quilters Inc exhibition, Traditionally Modern, will go towards the HMRI and RFS.
