With more than 100 young beef cattle enthusiasts gathered for the educational three days event that included cattle handling, junior judging and parading and encouraged participants to pursue a career in agriculture.
Georgia, whose family operate the Knowla Angus stud at Moppy, proved she was adept at competing with European breeds, and had a successful Stampede wining champion judge as well as being named Intermediate Champion Herdsman.
At this year’s Sydney Royal she paraded the champion schools led steer with an Angus entry.
A regular on the Hunter Valley show circuit Charlie Steele was awarded junior champion parader.
Grand champion herdsperson was 18 year-old Heidi Nicholls of Took A While Charolais, Kyogle, who is studying a double degree in agriculture and business at University of New England.
