Eleven-year-old Hudson, who attends Muswellbrook South Public School, and older sibling Kade, 13, a student at St Joseph’s High School Aberdeen, will contest the World Youth Bullriding Finals in the United States from July 31 to August 5.
There, they’ll face some of the best competitors on the international stage.
Hudson will line up in the 11-12 years’ division while Kade returns for a tilt at the 13-15 years’ crown.
The pair departs our shores on July 17 to participate in a few events and practice days in the lead up to the Finals, according to father Mat Attenborough.
“The boys are looking forward to the trip,” he said.
“Kade learnt a bit from last year – he had his first taste of what competing in the US feels like.
“It was a good experience [for him].
“We also went to former world champion Lane Frost’s mum and dad’s place – and heard what he did to get so far in his short, but illustrious, career.
“Although Kade finished 28th [out of 77] in his age group, he’s eager to improve on that performance.
“He’s aiming for a Top 15 spot.
“Hudson’s goal is similar.
“And, if they can achieve that, they’ll be in the money.
“I think they’ve got a fair chance of doing it, too.
“Kade’s also keen to pick up a scholarship if possible, after talking to friends he made over there.”
Attenborough said the duo had been working hard in readiness for the overseas adventure.
“We’ve travelled a fair bit in recent weeks,” he admitted.
“From Queensland to Coonamble, even Barraba.
“They’re going over as ambassadors, too.
“A lady from Queensland has hand-painted feathers in Australian colours, called Bush Whispers, for the boys to take to the US.”
