That was the advice of performer Michael Connell for students interested in joining the circus.
Mr Connell visited Sandy Hollow Public School on Tuesday to show some skills he had developed over the years, as well as demonstrating a few tricks they could do themselves.
The Sandy Hollow students were joined by children from neighbouring towns – Ellerston Public School, Cassilis Public School, and Murrurundi Public School.
Mr Connell joined this leg of the Circus Challenge tour in South Australian schools a few months ago, and has been travelling up the east coast.
Ellerston Public School teacher Jen Campbell said it was exciting to be a part of something that involved surrounding schools.
“It’s a great opportunity for the kids,” she said.
“We do a couple of these [combined events] a year.”
