A try to Jessica Morgan gave Merriwa a 4-0 lead, which remained that way until the break.
Aberdeen’s Katherine Nicholson then set up an exciting finish when she touched down to draw level at 4-all.
But, Merriwa refused to surrender and Taylah Blackadder sealed the win with a four-pointer in the dying stages.
Both clubs will now hit the training paddock to prepare for the upcoming Group 21 women’s league tag season.
