MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions in place from Wednesday on the New England Highway between Murrurundi and Muswellbrook.

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will carry out field investigations at a number of locations between the two towns to help plan for proposed future road work.
Work will be carried out in various locations along the New England Highway.
Work will start near Murrurundi and take place at various locations including Cressfield Road south of Wingen, Smith Road north of Scone and finish north of Muswellbrook.
This work will be carried out during the week between 7am and 5pm and is expected to be completed in eight weeks, weather permitting.
Lane closures and a reduced 40 km/h speed limit will be in place during working hours.
Motorists are advised to follow the direction of traffic controllers, signs and keep to the reduced speed limits.
