A record number of spectators attended the 2016 edition, with about 1600 adults and children coming through the gates.
President Tim Stanley said there would only be minor alterations to the event.
“The rodeo last year was the biggest one we’ve had,” he said.
“ The main change we’ve got is the junior rodeo has been moved to the Friday instead of Sunday and it will start at 5pm.
“A major sponsor of ours, the Royal Hotel, is also hosting a famous country music band called Baylou and a free courtesy will run from the grounds to the hotel.
“We’ll have a licenced bar, canteen, barbecue, coffee van, trade stalls, camping sites and music until late at the grounds as well.
“Everyone will be coming off the national finals [in Tamworth] so we should see some quality competition.”
The event kicks off on Friday, February 3 with the junior rodeo, which includes the jackpot junior breakaway roping, jackpot junior barrel race, and jackpot junior steer ride.
The rodeo will then take place the following day; a $1500 saddle bronc ride, $1200 bull ride, bareback, steer wrestling, rope and tie, breakaway roping, and $1200 ladies barrel race are all part of the schedule. There will be breakfast, hot food, a bar, and entertainment throughout the day.
Admission prices are $15 for adults, $8 for kids aged 5-16, and $8 for aged pensioners.
