For the past few years, the group has been working to organise a new cliff top walk at Paradise Park.
“The new Cliff Top walk, which continues on from the Eye of the needle walk back to Paradise Park, is a Murrurundi Landcare Pages River Warriors Project,” group member Mandy Archibald said.
“The Eye of the Needle walk was initially established by the Murrurundi Lions Club in the 1930s.
“Since then the Murrurundi Landcare Pages River Warriors, with the help of Local Land Services, Conservation Volunteers Australia, the Murrurundi Men's Shed, Lyn Overton and Hunter Council Environmental Division, have worked to establish an extended marked and mapped walking trail known as the Cliff Top Walk which follows the magnificent vistas of Murrurundi and beautiful rock formations along the cliff tops.
“The walk then meanders back through many different micro climates and rock formations and caves with incredible flora and fauna, to end back at Paradise Park.
