Participants from Scone, Maitland, the host organisation, and other visiting athletes, tested themselves in a variety of disciplines – 7-9 years, 10-13 years, enticer/14-16 years, the splash and dash, as well as the short and long course distances – at the Singleton Swim and Gym.
The triathletes also took a moment to pay tribute to Brian Lawrence, who died over the Christmas-New Year break.
“Although Brian was a member of the Maitland club, he was a good friend to all of us,” Singleton president Scott Kime said.
“In fact, he had a lot to do with the Singleton [club] and played a major role in setting up our course.
“Brian will be sadly missed by those who knew him.”
The next date on the club’s calendar is Sunday, February 5.
